Jio has introduced the True 5G network in the state of Kerala, with the launch of 5G services in Kochi city and Guruvayur temple. The services were inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, who digitally joined the event organised in Kochi.
The Jio True 5G network has been launched in the city of Kochi, while the telecom operator launched the True 5G WiFi network in the Guruvayur temple, located in Guruvayur, Kerala.
The 5G network will be available to Jio users in Kochi and Guruvayur on a trial basis. Users will be invited to join Jio Welcome Offer to experience the 5G speeds of up to 1GBps+ at no additional cost.
Jio True 5G is already available in 12 cities, including Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Nathdwara. Also, Jio True 5G network covers all 33 district headquarters in Gujarat.
Speaking at the event, Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan said, “I am happy to launch Jio’s True 5G services in Kerala. 5G services in the long run will bring transformational benefits for people of Kerala.
Jio has invested over Rs.6000 crores for deploying the 5G network in Kerala and this shows their commitment towards our State. They will be launching 5G services in Trivandrum by end of this month followed by Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Malappuram by January 2023. By December 2023 every tehsil and taluk of Kerala will have Jio’s 5G services.”
Commenting on the occasion, Jio Spokesperson said, “We are excited to commence Jio True 5G in Kochi & Guruvayur Temple in Kerala. Soon, Jio True 5G network will expand across the length and breadth of Kerala. Jio is the only 5G network to be present here. Jio engineers are working round the clock to deliver True-5G to every Indian, because of the transformational power of this technology and the exponential benefits it can deliver.”
