New Delhi: A week after a 16-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped, beaten and sexually assaulted, police nabbed a 25-year-old man with a history of criminal activity and his 17-year-old accomplice. The girl was allegedly kidnapped from north Delhi and sexually assaulted at a hotel in Adarsh Nagar.
Police received a PCR call regarding the incident on March 18.“The girl was admitted to a hospital. A doctor there stated that she was thrashed and sexually assaulted between 5 pm and 10 pm that same day. A case was then registered,” police said.
DCP(North) Manoj Meena stated that during the investigation, they analysed the call detail records of the suspects. The accused were frequently changing their phones and locations. Police conducted multiple raids, leading to the apprehension of a 17-year-old boy in Shastri Nagar. The other accused was identified as Junaid Khan (25). He was later arrested from Amroha.
“The juvenile had borrowed a scooter from his friend for the crime, which has now been seized,” stated the officer.
Khan was found to be involved in 20 criminal cases registered in several areas, including Keshavpuram, Seemapuri, Paschim Vihar, Mukherjee Nagar, Model Town, Timarpur, Bharat Nagar and Adarsh Nagar.
