NEW DELHI: A 47-year-old man, employed as a marshal with the DTC, has been killed allegedly by his landlord and landlord’s nephew for using foul language in northeast Delhi’s Karawal Nagar area. While suspect Rahul (30) was arrested, landlord Sunil (50) remains at large, police said on Wednesday.
After receiving a PCR call at 12.15am on Monday regarding the incident, a police team was rushed to the spot to find that victim Satvir had been rushed to the hospital.“When admitted, the victim was unconscious, displaying injuries to his limbs but none on vital areas” said Joy Tirkey, DCP (north-east).
Aafter the hospital confirmed Satvir’s demise at 5 pm, the sections related to murder were added, the DCP said.
“Satvir’s use of foul language during a phone conversation prompted Rahul to confront him, resulting in an argument. Satvir allegedly assaulted Rahul, who then notified Sunil, leading them to confront Satvir on the fourth floor, where he was thrashed with a rod and stick,” said the DCP.
