After performing at a music festival in Mumbai last week, Anoushka Shankar performed for a packed auditorium in Delhi on Wednesday. “Hello, Delhi. Thank you for coming out tonight despite the torrential drama outside. Thank you for making it through the rain and still being here with us. We started a bit late because of the weather, there is always something, right! But we are here and we are really happy to be here,” said Anoushka, who performed her songs like What Will We Remember?, Boat To Nowhere and Secret Heart.
Before Delhi, Anoushka performed for the second edition of Lollapalooza in Mumbai last week and mesmerised the audience with her performance. The highlight of the day was when piano rockers of alternative rock Keanewere joined by Anoushkafor their hit single, Everybody’s Changing.
Anoushka, who unveiled her mini album titled, Chapter 1: Forever, For Now, last autumn, told the audience in Delhi about the album and shared that she will be coming up with Chapter II and Chapter III soon. “As the title suggests, this is the first of a series and we will be coming with Chapter II and Chapter III soon. For now, we will be focussing on Chapter I,” she said.
