DEHRADUN: Cricketer Rishabh Pant, undergoing treatment at Dehradun’s Max Hospital after a severe car accident on Friday, is hardly getting any time to rest as a steady stream of visitors, including legislators, ministers, officials and even actors, keep trooping in to see him. His family has expressed concern that people are coming in to meet him “irrespective of the prescribed visiting hours”.
A medical team member taking care of Pant’s treatment told TOI on Sunday, “It is important that Rishabh gets sufficient time to rest, not just physically but mentally too. He is still in pain due to the injuries sustained in the accident. He has to speak to visitors, which drains his energy that should be preserved for faster recovery. People planning to visit him should avoid it for now and let him rest.”
Another staff member at the hospital’s administrative wing said, “There is no mechanism in place to filter visitors for Pant.”
