On Friday, a Delhi court granted the Delhi Police’s plea for permission to record Aftab Amin Poonawala’s voice. Before the court, SPP Amit Prasad submitted that the voice sample was necessary for the investigation. In order to listen to the videos and audio associated with the case, the Delhi Police needs to have a sample of Aftab’s voice. The accused does not have the right to object to giving a voice sample, the court stated when granting permission.
