Nikhat Zareen claimed her second World Boxing Championship gold and retained the title on Sunday, becoming only the second Indian female to achieve this feat. Lovlina Borgohain claimed her maiden gold at the championship along with Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora.
Congratulating Nikhat for her big win, Salman took to his social media handles to say, “When u met me last u had promised me u will win again and u have done that. So proud of u Nikhat.”

Salman also extended his heartfelt congratulations to the team saying, “Many congratulations to you all on winning the women’s world boxing championships.”
This is the second time in history that India has won four gold medals at the Women’s World Boxing Championships. The country previously hit the mark back in 2006 when Mary Kom, Sarita Devi, Jenny Lalremliani and Lekha K.C won gold.
